Jess, i would like to amend a little about your comment.
The only way to earn is SAVE!! <---this statement is for lazy people like us..
i lazy to work, and lazy to do business, etc. but i do have some savings in bank which i've earned sometime ago when i was employed. Then use the interest the bank give us, save it back to the bank and live on the interest.
so everytime i spend, i would think twice and i would think that the money i spent, eventually will go to goverment pocket. so this make me doesn't have the urge to spend anymore.

RM2 for petrol price, whereby tghe market price is RM1.62 per litre, and newspaper headlined that this is a good chance to increase goverment revenue.. SMART YA!! PAK LAH says thank you!!

I read that the only way to earn money is relate to WORK and SAVE. WORK and SAVE more. No secret, no other ways, no free lunches.

Must ACTION.
To SAVE more:-
Do track how much you spend, you have phone bills, electric bills, handphone bills - you can track them as there are records. What about your other bigger bills - entertainment, food, clothes - yes, every Ringgit must be tracked so you know where it goes.

To EARN more:-
Those employed, work hard, work for OT, for allowance, for increment/promotion! No pain, no gain!
Those self-employed, must be positive thinking, "be fearful when people are greedy, be greedy when people are fearful!" No self-pity, no complains - just DO IT!

I wonder why you (referring to yowchuan) didn't suggest something like selling ebooks and putting the google adsense in your blog/website/anything like it. Is it contributing to your earning?

*I'd like to know the range of income that you get from it monthly....alright, forget it, I know you'll say something like "it's confidential" or "top secret" or maybe something like "my friend, information don't comes cheap".

I purchase petrol daily, just purchase enough for that day's usage. My car is running at about 12++KM per littles. So if today i estimated that i am drop by 2 customers, adding up around 50KM, i would purchase 5 littles (5X12=60KM). I come back home everyday almost with the fuel indicator just/about to show red color. My petrol transactions normally are RM 6.30, RM 9.50, RM 8.40, etc. And I am using Direct Access Master Card, at 2% rebate.
I guess petrol station owner going to kill me soon. :P (little $$, high number of txn)

Nothing beats teaching the kids on the importance of frugality. Come to think of it, my mum is one of the most frugal person I've ever known. The fact that my parents (my mum's a full time housewife since I was in primary school) could put me and my 3 brothers through school still amazes me to this day.

So much for all the financial planning courses I took, I think I should just learn it from my mum :-D

Bro,for me i will view all my last previous month utility bills,show them to my family,and i would tell them to try to reduce even it is RM1,eventually my children would look at the utility bills once reached,and they would see if they had contrubuted in the saving,usually they would get very excited if they could save.
