If you get into an accident, even if it's not your fault, you are still going to end up being penalized.

If your road tax expired for more than 30 days, some Insurer might require you to furnish additional documents when you apply for your car insurance.

So, when it comes to road tax, it's always a good idea to renew them early.

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

does anyone know how much the fine is for a 20-days-
expired road tax?

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

http://www.autoworld.com.my...

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

how come my rtax can be rm1013.80 for half year...

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

Sorry correction on previous reply:Puspakom Inspection Fee for transfer ownnership RM30
Ownership transfer fee in gran RM100.posted on : 17/10/2011

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

Puspakom Inspection Fee for transfer ownnership RM30
Ownership transfer fee in gran RM3.

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

Is't mtorcycle below 250cc also need pay 100?

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

This calculator is pretty useful for those who want to know about the road tax details, but I have one doubt, whether it fetches accurate results?

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

this calculator is given the rate of road tax in west malaysia?

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

if i buy toyota vellfire using company the road tax at rm2500 like that a??

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

yowchaun please contact me on this email - Out of curiosity, are the values depicted by this calculator accurate? A good friend of mine has a 5.5L Mercedes but he's already paying roughly RM20k annually. Based on this calculator, for that amount, the cubic capacity of the specified car has to be about 7.0L. Can someone kindly clarify the authenticity of the calculator? Thank you.

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

Dear Yowchuan,

Thanks for your quick respons.

With regards from Holland.
paul

________________________________

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

Paul, the road tax quoted by the calculator is on a yearly basis. For Individual Ownership, you must add each individual drivers, with the 3rd driver costing you RM10.00 each.

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

any difference for the road tax for a toyota alphard 3.0 registered under individual or registered under company? I believe that the discounted rate has been applied since 2 years back.

The status of your car registration (either private or corporate) should not have any bearings on the road tax rate. The private/corporate status would only have an impact on your insurance premium, where for corporate registered vehicles, you will be charged an additional 5% company service tax.

There's the popular RM 625 rebate, where you have to filled up a few forms at the Post Office or JPJ to be eligible for it.

Re: Malaysia Road Tax Rate

I just renew my Mistushi Storm L200 model with a engine capacity of below 2499 cc for half yearly, but to my suprise the rate is the same as old rate no change.
